The South Jordan Rotary Club has a new name but carries on the spirit of its predecessor. Sharon Haupt, the Assistant District Governor announced last week that the Southwest Valley Rotary Club has officially changed its name to the South Jordan Rotary Club. "This change better identifies the club with our location, affiliation, and purpose" says President, Dr. Dale Hull. The club has visions of integrating themselves more fully with the south west area of the Salt Lake valley working with local Chamber of Commerces and City Councils providing needed service within their boundaries.
The South Jordan Rotary Club has additional plans of helping local High Schools more fully implement the youth side of the Rotary arm, the Interact clubs. These service organizations help teens learn the joy of service above self in their communities and abroad.
The club meets each week at the Jordan Valley Medical Center and potential members should contact the club Secretary for additional information.
